This contest has been created to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Abbotsford International Airshow - August 10th - 12th 2012. The Harley Davidson has been kindly supplied by Mountainview Harley Davidson, Chilliwack. (Your local authorized dealer).
No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant, per day.
The Grand Prize:
Grand Prize will be the choice of the winner.
Either $5,000 in CASH or
an Iron 883 - Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
The motorcycle is new and has only been used as a demo bike for this contest.
You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Contest entry points:
Contestants may enter the contest via this site by finding the ten differences in the photos. Contestants will increase their odds of becoming a finalist by submitting entries every day. Starts 28th June 2012.
Contestants may enter the contest with a submitted photo taken next to the Harley Davidson Motorcycle. The Abbotsford News will provide weekly locations of where the bike is situated. Photo submissions to be sent to feeltherumble@abbynews.com. Starts 23rd June 2012.

Contestants may enter the contest at major events with a submitted photo taken next to the Harley Davidson Motorcycle. The Harley Davidson will be on display at both Agrifair, August 2nd - 6th 2012, and the Abbotsford International Airshow, August 10th - 12th 2012. Details in your Abbotsford News. Photo submissions to be sent to feeltherumble@abbynews.com. Starts May 26th 2012.
Contest closes: August 26th 2012.
Finalists:
10 finalists will be selected. Only one person per household will be selected.
5 finalists will be selected from online entries. (Random draw)
5 finalists will be selected from photo entries. (Random draw)
All photo-entry finalists will also be entered into a draw to win a pair of Westjet tickets to fly anywhere Westjet travels in addition to competing for the grand prize.
Availability:
Finalists must be available for a 'finale party' Friday 31st August 2012 @6pm. The eventual winner will receive the Motorcycle or the $5,000 in cash at a grand Gala event September 8th 2012. Winner must be available to attend the September 8th 2012 Gala. Complimentary tickets will be provided.
Winners will be notified by telephone. If a semi-finalist is unreachable after 12 hours, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If Abbotsford News cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
ODDS-OF-WINNING
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
Abbotsford News reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
Abbotsford News reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the Abbotsford News' office.
Employees of Abbotsford News, Black Press, Abbotsford Airshow Operations Office, Mountainview Harley Davidson - Chilliwack, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to Abbotsford News the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
Abbotsford News reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or Abbotsford News. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and Abbotsford News are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
Semi-finalists will be contacted via telephone and will be given a minimum of 12 hours to respond to the call from a News representative. Should the person not respond to the call within 12 hours, the News representative will make contact with the next selected semi finalist. Semi-finalists must confirm availability to both the August 31st event at Earls and the Grand Gala at the Reach, Sept 8th 2012.
If any of the semi-finalists are unavailable to be contacted, further random draws will be made from all entries until we are able to confirm a semi-finalist contestant.
The prize motorcycle must be collected, if chosen, no later than Monday September 10th 2012, unless pre-arranged with The News.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, province and local taxes.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
Abbotsford News reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
